We regularly share roundups of corporate insiders who have increased their stock holdings by significant percentages.
In our October blog, we covered ASOS PLC, Mondi PLC, and Polar Capital Holdings PLC. This time around, we have a mix of companies.
Associated Banc-Corp (ASB:US)
John Bergstrom, a board member of Associated Bank-Corp, purchased 50,000 ASB shares for $23 each. In late October 2021, the insider spent just over $1.1 million.
This increased Bergstrom's holdings to 143,259 shares, a rise of 187%. This transaction is noteworthy not only for its high value, but also because he is an experienced business person. He is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bergstrom Corporation in Neenah, Wisconsin, which is one of the top 50 largest car dealer groups in the United States.
More information is available in the insider buying report on John Bergstrom's purchase.
NVR Inc (NVR:US)
NVR is a house builder that operates under the NVHomes, Ryan Homes, and Heartland Homes brands on the east coast of the United States. Significant insider trading was reported by 2iQ in November 2021.
Matthew Kelpy, NVR Inc's Chief Accounting Officer, purchased 100 NVR shares at a price of $4,860 per share. This transaction cost the insider $486,000 and raised his holding to 212 shares.
This investment is a bullish indicator not only because it is substantial in nominal terms, but also because it has more than doubled the size of the insider's stake in relative terms. It shows that he is quite optimistic about NVR's future.
Ball Corp (BLL:US)
Lastly, there's Ball Corp, a global packaging and aerospace business based in the United States. The corporation is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and has a market capitalization of $30.3 billion.
Ball's COO Ron Lewis purchased 10,000 BLL shares at a price of $91.26 per share on November 9, 2021. The insider paid $912,625 for this trade, which increased his holding to 18,585 shares.
The investment, the latest in a series of insider trades dating back to August 2021 from Vice President and Controller Nate Carey, increased Mr. Lewis' position by 116%. This, combined with the scale of Lewis' trade value, is bullish.
